This painting was inspired by several years working in the Kitchen at a Catholic summer camp and retreat center. As you can imagine, kitchen jobs weren’t the most coveted, and I learned a lot about offering up the sacrifice of the labor and sadness of being behind the scenes and having little time to get to know the campers.
This print has the following quote from Mother Teresa added in text: “Wash the plate, not because it is dirty, or because you are told to wash it, but because you love the person who will use it next. -St. Teresa of Calcutta”

This print is well-made and of excellent quality. The message resonated with me as I prefer to hand wash my dishes rather than use a dishwasher. This print makes me smile and brings me much joy as I go about one of my favorite chores!
